Local posters: the alternative publicity for Nickelback

Mon, Sep 16, 2013 at 6:08 PM By: pauupu

Nickelback, like the most of the (huge) bands, uses the most identifiable elements to promote their tours and concerts: group pictures, typographies and striking colors; serial posters, all with the same design.

But, since about a time, I started searching promo posters (for concerts and others) and found this selection of alternative publicity, that many times is far from the official promo, but it's even official for local promotion.

Poster made for the concert in Spokane, WA. June 2012.

The artwork can be designed by artists and local designers as a special request from the local crew. In them, the art, originality, and in many cases, the simplicity can be clearly seen. Meanwhile some designs looks like posters from the old school (Almost from the old school, indeed! Haha), the latest designs includes band pictures, much more sophisticated, and with many help of editors (beyond the handwork).

See all of them HERE!

So, ¿what's your favorite poster? ¡Enjoy!

My favorite is still the Dark Horse design - I love the gritty, cool feel to it!
